In January of this year, I decided to promote the Pamper Parties side of my beauty business. In all honesty I had no idea about how to run a business. I was a teacher for ten years. Everyone thinks teaching is the ideal job to fit in with children and family life. But it isn't. Yes, you get the holidays off to be with the little ones (well, apart from planning, putting up displays and ticking the various other 'teacher requirement' boxes) but term time is a constant game of catch up. I live in a slightly manic household with my husband, 3 children, a cat, a kitten and quite a few fish. I like seeing friends, pretty paper bags, decluttering, strong black coffee and lemon cake.
